Objective:
To bring about social change through design thinking and innovation. (Objectives of the design intervention in image below)
The challenge given for this intervention is to implement good practice and understanding of health and hygiene standards amongst the children of the Lambani tribe.
Process and Methods:
A core team of ‘people-centric’ individuals from various domains were specifically requested to volunteer for the design intervention. The process so far has been conducted in two stages.
Stage 1: Meet storm session conducted in Bangalore to brief the core team about the challenge followed by scenario understanding and attack plan for the following village visit.
Stage 2: Village visit, included planned observational sessions and activities to gain insights. This was followed by an all-night brain-storming session resulting in action plans and solutions to tackle the challenge. The following day more activities and focus groups with village elders were conducted.
Next Plan: Evaluate all solutions for the most promising ideas, prototype and create formal proposal. Look for funding to execute the proposed solutions and get document effect and feedback for design iteration.
